IMAGINE A BETTER WORLD TODAY

A Movie To Remind The World Who We Truly Are

"We have to wake up together. And if we wake up together, then we have a chance. Our way of living our life and planning our future has led us into this situation. And now we need to look deeply to find a way out, not only as individuals but as a collective, a species."

THICH NHAT HANH

Right now, in 2026 here on this planet, humanity is more intelligent, more resourceful, and more conscious and aware than we have ever been in our history. We are hyper-connected, and we are witnessing world events and atrocities in real time on our phones within minutes or hours of them occurring…and globally, we are shouting out, reposting, and standing up, marching in the streets, and coming together en masse.  I know you’ve noticed?

In every country around the world, and even in democracies, oligarchs, corporations, and dictators have seized all levels of power. And ‘we’ the people, have had enough.

Most people are struggling in so many ways around this world right now, extreme poverty, hunger, mental health (especially in our cities), struggling to pay bills, to find meaning in our lives, to find happiness.  There is a lot of authoritarian darkness going on right now and it feels very hopeless like the world and humanity is going down for the count. These are the last gasps of late-stage capitalism and the whole paradigm of controlling power, which is crumbling under the pressure of humanity’s scrutiny and awareness. We can see that this dark controlling power is not going down easily. We can see it in the USA, we can see it in Iran, and all over the world.

There are over 40 countries right now that are actively in states of war and terrorist insurgency. So naturally it has been taught in schools and reinforced through media that the history of humanity has been bloody and cruel throughout the ages; and it has, but it has also been rich in kindness, compassion, and empathy. Killing and war are something that must be taught. They are not in our true nature. War is always designed to put power and wealth in the hands of a select few.

“World peace is not only possible, but it is inevitable. It is the next stage in our collective evolution on this planet. The question is whether we will achieve it through a common vision and collective will, or only after unimaginable catastrophes leave us with no other choice. The problem is that we are still holding on to divisive, myopic, materialistic ideologies that are inconsistent with the reality of the oneness of our human kind.”

                                                                                                            Payam Akhavan

Human beings are born relational. We depend on each other for nurturing and love; we need connection and cooperation to survive. We need community and friends, and meaningful social bonds. Yes, we have both the light and the darkness, but shouldn’t we be concentrating on the light, on lifting each other up. Especially now more than ever.

Across this planet, 100’s of millions of people are doing things every day to make a difference in their communities and around the world. New breakthroughs in technology and science are addressing man-made natural problems that we have created to help heal this earth moving forward. But we don’t see these positive things and breakthroughs being reported on any media platforms, do we? Yet thousands of environmental and humanitarian breakthroughs occur annually. Here are only a few:

Ethiopia planted 350 million tree seedlings in a reforestation project in one day.

After years of conservation, Giant Pandas are no longer on the endangered species list.

The ozone layer, once a global emergency, continues to recover.

Japanese scientists at the University of Tokyo have developed a plastic that dissolves in seawater in hours

Scientists in Australia have created a way to turn seawater into hydrogen fuel using only sunlight—a breakthrough in energy with ocean-sized potential.

In Texas, the world’s largest Air Capture Facility is coming online…designed to permanently pull millions of tons of CO2 out of the atmosphere.

In the UK, people without a fixed address can now open a bank account. For those experiencing homelessness, they now have a better shot at rebuilding their lives.

Mexico has passed a law that employees are legally entitled to a share of their employer’s profits, where employers must distribute 10% of their profits amongst employees.

The Netherlands have closed over 20 prisons as rehabilitation is chosen over punishment

In Finland, charging tuition is illegal. So rich and poor kids attend the same schools.

People care; we all know how messed up things have become and who’s responsible. So here we are at the doorway of a new phase of human evolution, and it is time for that new paradigm on this planet, where Earth’s resources are nourished in sustainable ways, and the most valuable currency is kindness.

People are kind at our core, I mean, we greet each other with smiles, and you can travel to any country in the world and find friendly, generous, and welcoming people in every culture…people with very little that will bring you into their homes with kindness and feed you. That is what this film is about…the inherent kindness within our human species, how we are evolving to live a better coexistence with our natural world around us as we rebuild this planet, and where we are headed moving forward…If humans created our world, our systems, and the problems they produce, can’t we uncreate these systems and create new ones?

A Movie For Humanity To Look Forward To
